Troy, MI  – The Motion Picture Institute (MPI) is proud to announce that it has been selected to receive the prestigious 2023-2024 School of Distinction Award from the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC). This honor is awarded to only 17 schools across the United States, recognizing their commitment to delivering quality educational programs and adherence to the rigorous standards set by ACCSC.

The School of Distinction Award is a significant accolade that highlights the excellence and dedication of ACCSC-accredited institutions. It acknowledges schools that have demonstrated a strong commitment to meeting the accreditation expectations and providing outstanding education to their students. This year, over 200 applications for initial and renewal of accreditation were reviewed, and MPI stands among the top institutions honored with this award.

Douglas Schulze, President of Motion Picture Institute, expressed his gratitude for the recognition, stating, “We are thrilled to receive the School of Distinction Award from ACCSC. This achievement reflects the hard work and dedication of our faculty, staff, and students. As we celebrate our 25th anniversary, this award is a testament to our continuous efforts to provide top-tier education in motion picture production.”

The award will be formally presented to MPI during the ACCSC Professional Development Conference (PDC) in Long Beach, California.

As MPI commemorates its 25th anniversary, the School of Distinction Award marks a milestone in the institute’s journey of training the next generation of professional filmmakers.
