Charles A. Kennedy Jr is a cinematographer and image-maker in Detroit, Michigan. Still, he discovered the world of film production after participating in the 2010 Detroit-Windsor International Film Festival. He’s worked with HAP Michigan, Compassion International, Michigan State University, and Cliff Bells the famed Jazz club in Detroit. His journey has taken him through working in several departments but the camera has always been a constant. Charles has lensed several independent feature films, short-form projects, and commercials. Charles is known for his deep focus on psychological storytelling through image with lighting, composition, and his care in photographing Black skin.
